Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the international journal are peer-reviewed as per the following procedure:

1) Initial review

Once an article is submitted for review, it will be evaluated by journal staff to ensure it meets our technical requirements for submission.

The manuscript will be sent to the Editor-in-Chief of the journal to begin the review process when the manuscript passed our technical check.

It will be evaluated whether the submitted manuscript is suitable for the Journal based on aims and scope, methodological flaw and readability of the articles.

2) Peer review

After passing the initial review, the manuscript will be sent to at least 4 anonymous reviewers (Double-Blind Peer-Review), which means the reviewers do not know the names of the authors, and the authors do not know who reviewed their manuscript (but if the research is published reviewers can eventually know the names of the authors).

Referees evaluate the paper based on its originality, soundness of methodology, impact to design research, and relevance to design practices. For the better management of timings, the referees are requested to submit the report within four weeks.

The anonymous reviewers' comments are then sent to the corresponding author for necessary actions and responses.

Afterward, the editorial team suggested the final decision to the revised manuscript by authors.

On the basis of the referees' reports and recommendation the Editor-in-Chief communicate the final decision.

The final decision can be "Accepted for publication", "Accepted with Revision", or "Rejected submission’.

A revised paper should be re-submitted within seven days of the decision by the author. It will be returned to the previous referees for evaluation.

3) Publication

After the final acceptance of the paper will be communicated to the publication manager for layout editing and a galley proof will be provided to the author for proofreading within seven days after it the paper will be published in either the current issue or upcoming issue.
